The Man. The Music. The Message.

ABOUT GRAMPS

Born into one of reggae's most influential dynasties, Roy "Gramps" Morgan is a second-generation torchbearer of a legendary musical bloodline. As the son of pioneering Jamaican artist Denroy Morgan — whose hit "I'll Do Anything for You" helped introduce reggae to mainstream American audiences — Gramps was raised in a household where music was both heritage and purpose.

That foundation evolved into Morgan Heritage, the globally celebrated, GRAMMY® Award-winning group known worldwide as the "Royal Family of Reggae." Since their debut at Jamaica's Reggae Sunsplash in 1994 and subsequent signing to MCA Records, Morgan Heritage has become one of reggae's most respected forces, blending roots tradition with global crossover appeal.

Their 2015 album Strictly Roots earned the GRAMMY® Award for Best Reggae Album, while projects like Avrakedabra and collaborations with artists such as Sting further cemented their international legacy.
